Lance Anthony is HERE!

So Lance made his way into this world on Jan. 27th at 817 am. We were trying to have a Vbac however Lance had other ideas. I got to a three on my own but never went into labor. The c-section went well actually. We arrived at McKay at 530 am. After three tries to get my IV started, me passing out, a large hematoma on my forearm- thats still bruised by the way-, and passing out as the epidural was inserted we were on our way. Hehe it sounds worse than it really was, see I have this weird thing with my body, it does not like being poked. I am not scared of needles or blood or anything but my body just doesn't like it and I will just pass out if they stick me more than once. I warned all the nurses and they were still surprised. Anyhow the delivery went well and didn't have any complications.

Lance was brought to me in the recovery room and latched on amazingly. We made the choice to try breastfeeding even though I had a reduction done about five years ago. We had some bumps initially but have worked out most of the problems. Well its now two weeks later and hes feeding well and I am producing milk but he hasn't gained very much weight. He is still 9 oz under his birth weight. So now we are looking into various options to increase my supply and supplement him. I only have till Monday before I get into trouble again at the doctor's office.

Anyway he is doing great other wise. He is awake for parts of the day and has been sleeping well at night. Emma is still adjusting to his noise and told me the other night to close her door so he doesn't wake her up. She likes to help change his diapers and pick out his clothes.

We have had a ton of help throughout the last two weeks! My mom and Tammy were here to watch Emma while we were in the hospital and Grandma Jo has been here for a little under 10 days. The ladies in the church were awesome and brought dinner for three nights! We have been so grateful for all the help! It has been great for Emma having them here to help with the adjustment period. I honestly have no idea what I am going to when Grandma Jo leaves.

I'll leave you with a few pics from the hospital and our first few days at home. OHH the fun begins!!

I can't believe that I am posting this picture!! I look horrible.
