Visits, Zoo, and a Swing!

This last memorial weekend Grandma Sharon and Grandma Tammy came to visit. The big surprise was that Kristy and Katie came too! I was told that Kristy had to work. Well when I came home from work and they were here eating, Kristy and Katie magically appeared from the porch and scared me! The first day they were here we all went to the zoo. It was Emmalyn's first time. She really liked all the animals, however I think she was having just as much fun watching all the new people around. She really liked the Giraffes. When we saw them she started kicking and talking to it. After the zoo we went back home and went to eat pizza and went bowling at the new Solomon center downtown. The next day we stayed at home and had some help setting up our house, which is still in the process after a month! Mom and Tammy went running errands and came back with a present for Emmalyn, A Swing! It's not the kind you keep in the house but one that goes on a swing set outside. Well Brad and I went on a date that night and so mom and Tammy and the girls played with Emmalyn in the swing outside. She absolutely loves it. It has become a nightly ritual that we go outside and swing and relax with the dog. The family left the next morning and we used the last day of our vacation to get some cleaning done. It was nice to see our family again.

In other news Emmalyn is ALMOST crawling! She can now get up on her knees and rock back and forth. Most of the time she just face plants it into the carpet but it won't be long before she figures out that she can move her hands and go forward. She already scoots backwards on her tummy and Odin is not liking her new found freedom, she usually scoots right into him and he has to go hide. Emmalyn is also sitting pretty much on her own. We set her down and she will sit there and play with her toys. She still topples over if she reaches too far for something. It is really fun to see her learn stuff so quickly. I had better get going but I will post pics later for you to see.

She looks so happy in her new swing! You get the new house; but just give her a tree and a swing.....looks like the "grandmas" hit a homerun with that present.
